I'm 15 and I wanted to know – is Sauna and the Jacuzzi (hot tub) good or bad for my health? I want to know the full benefits and cons of them, if possible. I heard that the sauna opens up skin pores, which helps in removing toxins from the body, ergo "cleansing" oneself, BUT I also heard that the temperatures, that are in a sauna/hot tube, are bad for the man parts. is it true? Because I really wouldn't want that.

Either is fine to relax, etc. but, not good for anyone with high blood pressure or for your sperm. it can affect sperm quality from the heat. be careful.

Taking my boyfriend on a weekend trip for our anniversary and wondering if I should get the room with a jacuzzi hot tub in it. Birth control is taken care of and not a concern, but I'm worried about infections (sexual or otherwise) that could occur if the hot tub hasn't been properly cleaned and treated. also, could the normal amount of chlorination give me a rash down there? I don't have particularly sensitive skin, but what do you think?

Is the hot tub always with water in it or do you fill it when you stay there? If you fill it then it lacks chlorine and probably increases the chance for infection. If it stays full you could always take a test strip with you and check the chlorine level.
